This building was very close to my hotel so I decided to visit. You get the most anazing views of Tokyo and it's all for free! You get taken up in the lift to the 45th floor and you can wander round, take photos, go the the cafe. If I have time, I'll try to visit again in the evening.

The observation decks offer great views of Tokyo. There was overcast so my first visit had limited views, but the second time the weather was perfect and could see Mt. Fuji. There will be a long line on good weather days, but it is worth the wait.

There are a lot of great spots to get views of Tokyo (Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Mori Tower), but this one is the best because it's free! It's a bit of a walk from Shinjuku Station but otherwise, isn't too hard to find. The view is a 360 one and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji. It's closed... More

It was worth waiting in a cue for like 20 minutes, than with express elevator to the 45th floor, one elevator is broken, will be repaired until november 2013, the other two are running normal, up to18 people at time. No entrance fee, view is fantastic, gift shops are only for children and those without the taste, avoid. You can... More

This is located in Shinjuku. There are 2 towers, north and south, and you can go up both for free. On a clear day, the views are fantastic. There is a tourist information centre at ground level and they can speak English and Chinese (could be more but these were the only ones we used).

Morning is the preferred time, or evening after sunset. Since the place is free to public, the queue is quite long, need to wait 10 to 15 minutes. At top has chance to see Mt. Fuji on clear sky. Should put this least priority among all sites specially if you have very limited time in Tokyo.

Can't be bothered lining up to get into the Sky Tree? Try the free viewing platform at the TMG building for a birds-eye view over Tokyo!

It's open till 7.30pm on Sundays so my boyfriend and I went lateish on a Sunday and it was perfect as it was just getting dark so the lights looked spectacular. It was fairly crowded but not too bad, you might have to wait to get to a few of the windows (its not just one big panoramic window) but... More

The top floor of this building gives a great view of Tokyo and it's free and less crowded. I'm glad we got our view of Tokyo from this building instead of waiting on long lines and paying a fee for the Tokyo Sky Tree.

We loved the views from the observation floor - however the whole place feels a little dated, the new Tokyo Skytree Viewing Decks might be more fun.
