We did this climb mid morning when it was quiet. Good parking facilities and a restroom close (take your own hand gel and tissues). The climb up is steep and curls around into the rock itself. Some parts are very narrow but there are hand rails all the way up. There are 350 steps in total of varying degrees. Views... More

Easy hiking uphill - there are stairs, so it is not so bad, but in my opinion, it's not that magnificent view that we expected. Make sure to put sunscreen on, before you start climbing - there's no shade, it's windy and you can't feel how fast you'll get sun-burn!

You feel like you are on top of the world. 360 degree views. Well worth the very scary climb up. There are stairs and rails to help you.

We are 60 and were definitely winded after reaching the top but it was worth it. The weather is so unpredictable I would recommend you attack it when you see it is clear.

It is quite a steep climb and could be scary if very windy. Also not for people with fear of heights.

The road up to Moro Rock was still closed when we were there so we hiked in from the parking area. We were just about the only people out, so it was quiet and peaceful. The hike up the rock is steep and narrow, and we were really winded (we are 60) by the time we got to the top.... More

Beautiful spot! Lots of stairs, but it's worth it! If you're claustrophobic or afraid of heights you may want to opt out.

While visiting Sequoia, be sure to take the time to climb Moro Rock. It's not a tough climb, but it is a little long, and the altitude will take it's toll; so just take your time. The view from the top is fantastic and makes the climb worth it.

Thankfully, one of the employees at the Foothills Visitor Center suggested Moro Rock. I was a little leery, as I am 55 and was with my 18 & 25 year old daughters, who i figured I couldn't keep up with. I just took my time as they ran ahead. I made it half way, and that was definitely far enough... More

At the end of the day, nothing is better than a spectacular sunset. There is a parking area not too far from the trailhead, and a ~1\4 mile hike straight up to the top (mostly stairs/inclines carved into the rock). It is worth every step for the view.
