Nice smallish cathedral in centre of old town, the square is now restored and the cathedral itself is what it is. Well worth a visit, but respect the tradition and wear respectful clothes

Remember to avoid shorts and strappy tops or you wont be allowed in (ladies bring a wrap around to cover up with). An impressive Cathedral with an air of solitude and grace, well worth a visit,

A gorgeous church, a fine example of Cuban baroque, just breathtaking. I love the barroco Cuban style not over the top but nicely done.

Our family rented a driver and old car from the RIU staff. On the way to Havana, about 1 hour into the drive, we stopped at the top of a hill overlooking the valley and had the best Pina Coladas ever! Havana is an old town that is quite beautiful. The buildings do need repair - mostly within the buildings,... More

We attended Mass on Easter Sunday and were greeted by the friendly and helpful people assisting with the festivities. The entire congregation, mostly locals, were engaging and welcoming. The Bishop of Havana celebrated Mass and thanked all of us tourists who were there in several languages á la The Pope! There is a very good cafe outside in the square... More

We did a day trip to Havana and were with a tour group. This was one of the destinations and I was so impressed with this church. Look way up, there is a beautiful chandelier hanging in the center and it just twinkles. There was singing while we visited and the acoustics are amazing. The stone used in the building... More

With much to do in Havana, even see the Cuban Government buildings, Hemingway's famous bar, House De Marcus, the Cathedral was a breath taking sight to see and experience. The people are fantastic, lots of poverty seen in the centre of Havana of their people, fast paced drivers, I wouldn't specifically stay in Havana but would travel to spend a... More

I have been fortunate enough to travel a great deal over the years but this was my first organized tour. Cuba was a wonderful experience even with a few hurdles and hardships that the country presents. The people were wonderful and friendly. The country side was fascinating and full of interesting days of driving through the countryside. Havana and various... More

Easy to find, and worth the stop. Make sure to have a mojito in the plaza, or find one of the authentic Cuban restaurants in one of the back alleys! You will not regret it!

Great square and the cathedral is in good condition. Avoid the restaurant opposite as it is very expensive and the food not that great. More exciting and value for money establishments on the side streets.
