Loved walking down here early evening. Lots of locals hanging out, socialising, romancing and getting splashed by waves. A lovely atmosphere.

The Malecon in Cienfuegos is far nicer you can see the sunset and the people are mlore welcoming. I was disapointed there is not much to do or see in the one in Hanavan

This is great spot were family's and people like to gather and spend time just chill in the sun and chatting playing music and even taking there pets out great place for taking pictures

The whole of Havana seems to come down here to "make out" The buildings are amazing and you can play, dodge the waves, as they come over the top of breaker wall(watch your cameras, sea salt will rot it within hrs) there's a few bars along the way. It's an easy stroll with lots to look at

A must visit when in Havana, with beautiful old buildings and a nice view of the Havana skyline. From the old town to hotel Nacional is a pretty long walk but plenty of (old timer) taxis available. Visit the impressive hospital lobby (tall building right in the middle) with its monumental socialist architecture.

A walk along the Malecon is a must -- from the start at the harbour, to as far as your legs can take you -- Miramar and beyond...... Look at the sea, look at the homes, both restored and ruined, the monuments, cars, etc...... along the way. Feel Havana - gaze at the Fortaleza and imagine years gone by, from... More

This seaside promenade is quite lovely to walk along. The government is busy restoring many of the historic buildings along it. Presumably because it's difficult for young people to get privacy in their homes, it's full of necking couples --- rather sweet.

There's no better way to see or cruise the malecon, than with a convertible (rent one!) or with a cocotaxi. The waterside is massive and scenic. Best experienced when the sea is calm (as we encountered) but you can well-imagine the dramatic picture should the sea decide to throw a tantrum!

Take a walk along the Malecon any time of the day, you will have a great view of the city skyline. Most of the locals come here at night, as it is of course a lot cooler.
