We enjoyed Chankanaab very much. It's a good place for families that have some people who want to snorkel and some who want to just sit back and relax. The snorkeling was good - we saw many different types of fish - but it wasn't excellent. The water is beautiful; can't beat it. But there wasn't much coral and the... More

We have to pay much more extra to be with dolphins and even more to swim with dolphins. Not enough description on the "arboretum" area. The lagoon was very dirty, no water circulation. No manatees anywhere to be found, although it said on the pamphlet about the manatees area. The only thing that's worthed to see was the 20 minutes... More

The colors here were fantastic. As with many shallower dives, the light gets through to really let you see the parrot fish, and many other colors of animals like turtles, crabs, and sharks.

They don't get excellent because the price for pictures is absurd. $35 per photo, or $120 for all of them (which is like 15, maximum). I laughed out loud when the dude said those prices with a straight face. They don't let you take your own camera in there, so if you want photo proof you have limited choices. Pros:... More

This park is one of the best places to visit in Cozumel. We are avid snorkelers and truly enjoyed our day at the park. There are plenty of things to do....you can watch the sea lion show, take a little informative tour of the dolphin enclosure, swim with them (for an extra fee), walk around to see the natural lagoon,... It's been a couple of years now since we stopped in Chankanaab, but I think of it often. It was the perfect place for our family. Our cruise ported and we caught an inexpensive taxi to the park. We had printed a coupon ($2 off per person or something). Anyway, as I have read reviews I have realized that we... More

My husband and I just returned from a cruise to Mexico, and we decided to forego an excursion and do Chankanaab on our own. We wanted to have the flexibility to snorkel, snuba, eat, and get massages on our own time, and we were able to do just that. We were able to negotiate a package deal at the ticket... More

Do this if you get the chance! It's amazing! The snorkeling is fantastic, and the buckets of beer isn't too shabby either!

This is the second time we have visited the park in our Cozumel adventures. The park is beautifully maintained and very clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurants are reasonably priced and the food is good. We were fortunate enough to experience the Manatee encounter this trip. Admittedly, they don't flip through the air and do... More

Great area to snorkel with lots of fish and wildlife. It was easy to get in and out with areas to enter and exit the ocean.
