You will find an energetic helpful team of dive professionals eager to make your dives as memorable as possible. In operation since 1983, Cyan-Ha Dive Center is the oldest dive shop in Playa del Carmen. I was married in Playa del Carmen in February 2013. I knew that I wanted to scuba dive while there and in preparation I had taken my course work and pool training at home. However, I wanted my open water certification portion to be an inspiring experience, i.e. not a dark, freezing quarry. By the time I reached mexico my... More

We were visiting Playa Del Carmen on spring break and were staying close to Cyan-Ha dive center next to La Palapa . I signed my son up for a resort dive (he is 11) on the day of the water was too turbulant to dive so Barbara just worked with him in the pool. She was fantastic with him and... More

This is my second visit to Buceo Cyan Ha Dive Shop and once again they have proven that they are 'the' dive shop in The Mayan Riviera. Great ocean dives with Barbara and cenote dives with Roman. And Sabina makes sure your dive bookings and logistics are the best. They brought out the bull shark, spotted eagle rays, logger head... More

We booked a snorkel outing through this place at our hotel. On the day of our trip they didn't have a boat available so they arranged a trip with a neighboring outfit just down the beach. Our gear was from Cyan Ha, though; for buoyancy aids they had cheap nylon inflatables which rode up annoyingly once we were in the... More

Some years ago I picked up my scuba diving again. Took my licence 1968 but did a break during 20 years. Nowdays I'm just diving in the nice and warm seas and during the vacation in Playa del Carmen I found Cyan-Ha on the beach. Why not test to dive with them. I met wonderful people, Samanta in the shop,... More

Cyan-Ha is the oldest dive operation on the Riviera Maya.Carlos opened his dive shop decades ago when Play del Carmen was a sleepy fishing town;before the mega-resorts...when Hwy.307 was a dirt road.Being the first has it's rewards such as the beachfront location where sleek, new panga dive boats come to shore beckoning.Being first also means knowing the reefs intimately(I'd be surprised... The idea to learn diving and do the PADI open water license was actually the idea of my boyfriend. At the beginning I was really scared about the idea of breathing under water, but our diving teacher Emilio was very reliable and professional so that I got rid of my doubts and at the end really enjoyed the fishes and... Been in playa for 2 weeks and only dive with cyan ha dive shop Read.a bad review of shop, very sorry that someone had a poor experience. Must say though it was a freelance diver filling in that day. I don't believe this would have happened had the regular staff of Roman or Barbara had been on this dive. I've... More

When diving there are some things you cannot control ....weather....visibility... which can add extra challenges to your dive, with about 55 dive I still maintain a healthy level of fear which puts safety at the top of my list for good dive shops I have found this with Roman & Barbara whether its Roman shaking his finger at me saying no...
