For sun lovers but excellent views as well, we were there on May, not very hot, no people at all, so you can easily find a place for your own :-)) only one thing they have to improve: showers on the beach to refresh after swimming in the see - we did not find even one; anyway nice experience

you have never seen such a beach. white sand beautiful scenery and you can walk through the sea to a different island in just three minutes :) the perfect place to swim take pictures and relax. the view is amazing the experience of driving to get there even though is far away is definitely worth it.

We have seen several beaches in Crete in April. I think this is the bes one. It's like a lagoon, the water is 10-20 cm deep, so warmer than anywhere else.

Google Maps will tell you it's just an hour from Paleochora but will not say that the road is a narrow eroding dirt road covered in rocks, endlessly winding and with a cliff edge alongside for most of the trip. This beach is very beautiful and clean. On the South-side of the island it is always warmer than on the North and the waves are not so big. A real great place to visit.

This was for us the most beautiful beach on Crete. The water was much warmer here than all the other beaches (even warmer than our pool!) The water is so clear and you can wade through the water to the island.
