It was cloudy when we boarded the gondola (and the worker selling us our tickets was very honest we wouldn't have much of a view) but we chose to purchase tickets and go anyway. The clouds lifted and the views were breathtaking! So glad we did this. As a tip, if you plan on doing lots of sightseeing buy the... More

An exhilarating gondola ride takes you a long way up to the top of Sulpher Mountain. Once there you have the most extraordinary 360 degree views of Banff and the surrounding valley. There is a 1km walk along a boardwalk and up a lot of stairs to reach the cosmic ray station which is located on the very top point... More

We really enjoyed the ride up the mountain on a clear late spring morning in the 4-person gondola. We were lucky to share the ride with 2 young men visiting from Colombia, one of whom brought his ukelele and asked if he could play as we ascended. His music was beautiful and made a great tour extra special. Once on... More

This activity is a must do! If you go here and you don't take the Gondola up, you just missed one of the best experienced ever. It was an incredible, breathtaking view to see. I love it up there. Definitely a MUST SEE!!

The day started foggy and rainy, by the time we reached the top of Sulphur Mountain, the clouds parted and the sun was out! Great ride to the top. Nice climb to the observation deck and stairway to the top lookout area. Nice place to linger for awhile. We rode the bus from town to the gondola, short trip. Well... More

We went to Banff during Memorial Day Weekend in May. We caught the Gondola upto Sulphur Mountain at 4pm. It started snowing as the gondola rose, and very soon it became dark. The ride is fun, though it gets bumpy (and a tad scary) as you reach the top. The views of the mountain tops and the towns below are... More

The Gondola bring you to the mountain top, it have a very good view up there, also the walk to the other side of the mountain just like a short km trail , fresh air with snow scene make me feeling very good. Although it is a little pricy, but it worth it.

Maybe a little pricey but views were amazing, liked that you could go up in the gondola just as a couple. Nice walk when you're up there, was still snow and ice up there on the walkways but no problems. Recommended.
