Situated in the south east corner of British Columbia, 1 1/2 hours north of Nelson. Since 1975, the Drurys and their staff at Selkirk Wilderness Skiing have developed a loyal following amongst deep powder skiers and snowboarders looking for an alternative to both lift-serviced and helicopter skiing and riding. « less

Selkirk isn't just a lodge and cat skiing operation, it is a home away from home. There are so many personal touches that show how much they really care about their guests, from taking excellent care of your gear on the ride up, to loading and unloading your skis for you, finding you random things you forgot or sending you... my first time at selkirk this year - the price tag for me was huge but was worth it. amazing deep powder snow - the best catskiing terrain around: alpine bowls, chutes, glades, pillows. The staff and setup at selkirk also set it apart: staff, lodge, food all exeptional.

I have skied in several ski cat operations and Selkirk is my favorite. The skiing is awesome but one can find great skiing at other locations as well. What I have not found any place else is where the customer experience is as warm or welcoming. Every year I go back at least 75% of the guests are retuning from... More

What's not t love? Fantastic dry powder snow, face shots, steep and deep terrain, and a smooth running operation shared with great friends! Selkirk Wilderness runs a first class operation that would be hard to match anywhere. We are going for our 12th year since nothing beats Selkirk Wilderness; it is a close to heaven as you can find on... More

I hadn't done any research on cat ski operations, I was asked by friends to join them at SWS. I have done other cat skiing and heli skiing that was fabulous, but this was an amazing week! The terrain is what really wowed me. Every run had a wide open bowl at the top, which is my version of heaven;... More

To experience an endless sea of untracked powder, sharing with only 23 other guests in a comfortable mountain lodge one can do no better than skiing with Selkirk Wilderness. Snowcat skiing with Selkirk offers one the opportunity to ski superlative terrain, from high alpine bowls and glades, to steep trees and chutes. Unlike Heliskiing there are no down days. In... More

I have skied at four ski cat operations and this is my favorite. The terrain and skiing are extraordinary but what makes Selkirk stand out for me is the people and culture. It starts from the owners who are considerate respectfull generous people. This permeates the whole operation and the professionalism thoughtfulness and warmth of the staff shines in this... More
