I always take visitors down to Granville Island to board the Aquabus for a tour of False Creek. It's a great way to see this exciting part of the city and all the better if you do it around sunset on a lovely day
Love using the Aquabus to get to Granville Island. Rates are decent and you can't really visit Vancouver with-out going to water level. Cheaper than any tour and more useful to.
We took the Aquabus from Hornsby St. to Granville Island. Round trip cost $5.50 CAD...which I thought was a lot for a 2 minute ride. The boats are small but the ride is smooth. It's an easy way to get from downtown Vancouver to Granville Island and certainly cheaper than a taxi. I was just surprised at the roundtrip cost...

As a local resident, I ride the Aquabus almost daily and can't say enough about how friendly and cheerful the staff is. Don't get Aquabus confused with Granville Island Ferries however, the competing ferry service I can't comment on because I've never used them.
Take a small boat and enjoy being tossed along on the wash of motorboats! Frequent and affordable max price from Village to Granville Island $5.50. Good views of waterfront living and marinas
Took the aquabus because we just walked the seawall all the way to Granville Island. It was a longer walk then expected and there were no Car2Go's around. This seemed to be the main (only?) way to Victoria. There's a 35 min. Bus ride but you are first on & off, ride smooth, choice of cafeteria or brunch, & free wifi. If there is a bar I didn't see it!
To those of us who are land locked in our own lives it's a fun way to get where you are going. We were going to Laurel Canyon in North Vancouver.
Prompt & quaint, they deliver souls around False Creek in a unique fashion! They seem to run every 15 minutes & are usually on time.
