Jericho Beach is easy to get to and quiet.... Unlike some beaches, this beach provides you with some amount of privacy without feeling that you are being trampled on. Easy bike access and also by car.....

It is okay when not too crowded. good relaxation on a good sunny day...But how often do you get sunny day in Vancouver?!?...Not often. Only good days at the beach is June - Sept when it is not raining. California would be better as it is sunny and beach almost 365 days.

Jericho beach is in the Point Grey and Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver. A very popular place for young adults and families. A good view of the ocean, best for a morning or evening stroll in Spring and Summer time in Vancouver.

Just a few minutes by bus from Downtown, but a whole new world. Stunning views and a wide beach with nice and clean bathrooms. In sunny days the beach can be crowded, but you can keep walking until you find a good spot to settle down.

Jericho beach is found along a stretch of beach from Wreck Beach to Tower Beach to Spanish Banks. It is endless beach in a city. Jericho is quieter than Spanish Banks and seemingly less impressive but: you can rent kayaks, wind surfers etc, you have a dock, on low tide you have acres of mud flats to explore or skim... More

On a sunny day is a good beach with spectacular views and a sailing and windsurfing center. If you are looking for a beach with a great view and the smell of the ocean, cant beat it!

The cafe in the public sailing centre is a hidden gem, fabulous views and very inexpensive. The pier is currently closed due to storm damage

I guess when you from Cape Town, it will take a lot to impress you when it comes to beaches. To me the sea shore must be white sandy and soft, unfortunately this was not.

Why is vancouver such a popular destination for tourists, retirement, business or students ? Look no further than the nearby beaches, such as Jericho beach with white soft sand, logs neatly arranged to sit against or dry your towel. No smoking, too.
