the tourists/us were welcomed to the area and all was great in our pedicab. Andy did the driving and we looked. we ate at a local cafe and the food and service was good. Willies was the place.

Not many stalls open during our visit, but nice to sit and watch. Got an aquabus from here to Fishermans quay.
It's a beautiful place to walk around. There's the Empress Hotel, an impressive historic building, and there's the Legislative buildings, also an historic site. There are plenty of places to eat around there and as far as I know all good.
The inner harbour of Victoria is pretty stunning, beautiful water, interesting building, boats, sea planes, kayaks.... Plenty to keep you entertained on a sunny afternoon and a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by. My husband and I go to the inner harbour frequently. We love to walk around and watch the buskers and painters. It really is a people watchers paradise...there are folks from all walks of life taking in the scenery. There's restaurants and shops and artisans selling their wares. Love it!
Victoria has been wise in guiding the development of its inner harbour. It is no longer a commercial fishing dock (there may be a few boats but...). It is surrounded by high-end hotels whose rooms face the harbour and its changing light. There are many good places to stay and eat.
It is a hub of activity spring, summer and fall, it is quiet in the winter. This was the morning of the TC 10K! It was vibrant, fun and beautiful!
On a warm sunny night we were able to experience, buy, and relax. so much to do, so much to see. Walked up and down the boardwalk and would love to go back
