Great for watching the waves when a hurricane is passing by. Cold for swimming though, and some riptides too... Popular with surfers.
A lovely beach on a land bridge between the Atlantic Ocean and the Lawrencetown Lake. A good place to see the sunset.

Even in the winter Lawrencetown Beach is worth a visit. Some hardy soles are in the water with wet suits but walking along the beach is enjoyable too.
Water is a bit cool, but Lawrencetown Beach has some of the best surfing and surf kiting in Eastern Canada. Near to Dartmouth and adjacent to the Rails to Trails trail from Dartmouth to the Eastern Shore. Don't miss it.
This is a place where you can learn to surf and surf gear can be rented for the day. There is no restaurant there but there are some very nice ones in the vicinity as well as gift shops.
