It is very nice to drive out in the country and yet not that far away and you get to see animals from all over the world and experience being right up close to them, kids love it.
kids will love it....spare the car, take the bus tour! But that's not all -- there are shows, elephant rides and a water park - check out their website and plan to spend the whole day - it's great fun watching the elephants take their daily 'bath' in the lake!
African Lion Safari is well worth a visit - from the tiny ones to the adults you will find something to enjoy!
This is a great adventure for young children to see exotic animals in the wild versus zoo. Many times at a zoo they are either in a cage or in an open field hiding over a hill or somewhere where the animal is not visible. African Lion Safari allows you to drive through the area and come right up close... More
Everyone in your family will enjoy "Lion Safari" - check the website for pricing and activities. Your family - or - extended family members will love this animal park. It is possibly an hour by car from Hamilton, Ontario. I have taken our kids and grand-kids ( everyone had a great time). If you have people in wheelchairs or that... More
This is a great place for a family day out. You have the option upon entering of driving your car through the park, or using the bus. Using the bus will provide much more information about the animals (and the buses are air-conditioned). Once finished the safari, the park offers many attractions and fun rides. Our 3 year olds could... More
this is a real good park for families and more so for children you can either drive in your own car or take a bus tour. Lots of animals and also a petting park for children
Best time to go when the weather is not too hot. May and September are best as the animals are more active. Bring you own picnic basket as the food tends to be expensive...lots of place to enjoy your meal. Make sure you stay for the Elephant swim.
African Lion Safari has been around for decades, and as a family outing, not bad for the price. For one, the animals are visible, there are some nice interactive shows; and in the summer they have a water/splash park for younger children. My daughter loves the place. A direct comparison I can make is with Disney's Animal Kingdom. That park... More

It has 2 distinct sections, the first being the area with caged animals, 3 different animal shows and a couple of touring rides (one being a train and another is a boat). The second area is the one that most people think of and that is the drive through safari. I’m still surprised that... More
