I was very disappointed to hear that the Canadian National Museum of Science and Technology is now charging for parking. The parking lots have been contracted to a private parking company who will charge a daily maximum of $6 daily , 24 hours per day, 7 days of the week. The Museum is still a very good attraction for Children... More

This museum was great fun and had lots of exhibits. An unexpected highlight were the full size steam locos!! The space display was informative and great fun. Lots of artifacts from the past. A good fun place - the crazy kitchen!!

We were disappointed with this museum; it seemed primarily designed for young children. Consider skipping it if no one in your party is under ten.

We spent the good 4 hours at this museum, and probably could have stayed for longer. The museum really had something for everyone. I enjoyed the demonstrations being given about electricity and chryogenics. The presenters were interesting and entertaining with a good mix of information and visual demonstrations that held the attention of our 5-year-old. They had a good play... More

Weird and wonderful stuff. Things explained that you never knew. Exhibits and the gift shop. Just look for the lighthouse.

A wonderful place, especially if you're a rail fan. Several beautiful, perfectly restored steam locomotives are there, and you get to climb in the cabs! There are also vintage cars, and a very good space technology display. The electronics displays are a bit disconcerting if you're a baby boomer. Some of their "museum pieces" are still in a lot of... Its good for younger families, dont go as an adult and expect to be wowed, some of the stuff is outdated, but the kids had never been and had fun. Accessible for strollers, even my 5 month old found something to play with.

An excellent museum overall. I personally find it a bit small to be called the "Canada Science and Technology Museum"...and many of the exhibits are a bit dated... but still an enjoyable time. I'm not sure if it's still there, but the "controversial" sexibit is entirely educational. The only reason it could even be considered controversial is because some people... More

This museum used to be the coolest place to go, and now it is getting tired and stale. It needs some new attractions to compete with the other museums in the Ottawa area. It is a little out of the way if staying downtown, but good access and great parking if one is driving.

I've been going to this museum since I was young child and this time I brought mine. She is too young to interact with 99% of the exhibits but seeing her walk up to the trains and do the motion while saying choochoo was pretty freaking sweet. The museum hasnt changed much since I was a kid with the exception... More
