surrounded by traffic, government vehicles and tour buses, the noise is a bit much. That said, the walkways lead in a myriad of different directions, some confusing, but pretty walks along the way.

magnificent sculptires but it was bitterly cold bought a warmer jacket at Rideau Centre and soldiered on

Somehow Confederation Square epitomizes what it is to enjoy Ottawa's outdoor celebrations. A wonderful venue and we are lucky to have this in our downtown

There's a fountain in the park, with some seating. There are festivals that are held here, it's right across from city hall. There are regulars who show up at the park to feed birds and squirrels. Nice place to walk through on your way to work or to catch a bus. If you're driving, you'll have to park several blocks... More

In May, the fountain is nice and refreshing to dip your hands or feet into especially after race weekend. In winter it is a great place to see the ice sculptures of Winterlude

Confederation Square is across the road from the Parliament buildings. It has the sarcoughagus (the tomb of the unknown soldier) is located there as well as monuments for World War ! & 2. We spent a whole day in the park during Winterlude - there were lots of fun things for the kids to do, including watching ice sculptures being made, watching them get lit-up and decorated, other sculptures that the kids could climb/sit on, as well as a teepee to enter, firepits to keep warm, Christmas lights all over the place, Beavertails...
