If you want to just chill, relax and walk your dog........... It has a beautiful boardwalk and considerably well maintained and clean considering it can get crowded.
Good place to take family and friends when it is hot and humid. Great views, well kept. Parking could be better but you can find it if you look hard enough.

Sand, if you can call it that is not the typical beach quality sand; it is rough and clunky. There is lose gravel bits here and there.

Volleyball, frequented by dog walkers and joggers. Boardwalk to walk - watch out for all the baby strollers. Hard to get parking by late morning. You can also park by the theatre and walk over.
i was plesently surprised at the size of the beach. you almost feel your in miami with the boardwalk and volleyball courts. lots of good looking people and the water and wind is sheltered so it feels really hot. not sure of the swimming.
Now I did go on the long weekend but the beach was packed and there was no where to really rest as there were lots of people milling around. There was garbage everywhere it looked like it hadn't been cleaned up in some time.
