I found so many wonderful little shops and places to go. If you are walking, no problem. Driving? Many of the streets are one-way so its easy to get turned around and confused. Once you learn the town (in about a half day!), you'll have the hang of it.

Everything we saw in our very short visit (8 hours) was splendid. We walked all over the city. We went through narrow streets and stepped in lobbies of four room inns. We could have stayed days.

It's like a flew and landed somewhere in Europe. Upper town gives you some great views of the river and beyond. Lots of excellent places to eat and shop in. I enjoyed the Upper Town's beauty. I preferred the feel of Lower Town, but it was worth the ride up the funicular to Upper Town. The boardwalk gave great visibility to the lower section, and the horse & carriage rides are available in this section
