I live in Regina. This is my favorite place. So peaceful. Beautiful gardens by the Legislative Building. I've seen some reviews put up fairly recently talking about the grounds being "soggy...". I haven't anything bad to say about this park, but Canada wise my heart is still with Stanley Park in Vancouver. So this is now my #2 favorite park in Canada. I arrived in a late spring so much of the park is still under snow. Awesome view of the Legislature. Great for photos.

One only needs to walk, bike, run through Wascana Park either in the daylight or after dark to appreciate what has been built and beautifully maintained in Sask's Queen City!

Nice place for a shady picnic or to chill out with a book and headphones. Walkways I saw were all paved which made walking easier.
Saw some people kayaking so I assume there's a rental place somewhere.
Nice and close to the city centre and parking available on the nearby surrounding streets.
Spotted some friendly chipmunks and rabbits too which...

park grass was over watered until there was large areas of water laying around, certainly there would be a better time to water like late at night when nobody is at the park

gross...bird crap everywhere...its not a lake..its a lagoon..cant even be bothered to keep the fountain clean and looking great...now..i do come from BC..so it may not be a fair comparison..but wow..that isnt a park at all..its is a bit of grass in the midst of a mosquitoes breeding ground...
