The view at this resort is breathtaking. You feel like you are on top of the world. The ski and snowboarding are great. Lots of powder and room. The Eagle Eye restaurant is not to be missed. Great food and what more can I say about the view.

Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

A lift or two more and a shuttle bus from Golden and this place would be perfect. Great snow and great terrain.

Wow, what an amazing hill. Never disappoints us. Small line ups, even during high season. Lots of snow. 4000 vertical feet. Great restaurants. Panoramic views of beautiful, untouched snow-covered mountains, and tonnes of terrain to explore.

We enjoyed our day at KHMR, the snow is great. It has a reputation for being heavy on the "expert" side, but we found lots of terrain suited to our advanced abilities (as opposed to expert desires).

This is a good resort. Lots of steep runs. You have to walk a bit to the good ones. Gets tracked out pretty quickly after a big dump and then it is pretty hard packed powder between dumps, which is not very nice to ski on the steep slopes that they cannot groom.

As most skiers know, KHMR is the land of double black skiing. Lots of chutes, lots of steeps, some pretty awesome terrain. The slopes were fantastic. There were challenges for all types of skiers. I was there for two days and there were many places still to discover. The gondolas were a bit old and several could need a repair on the doors.

Lets be straight about this, there is no fooling around at kicking horse. Right off the gondola you have the option of jumping into chutes and spines to satisfy even the Gnarlyist of riders.
