Garry was kind enough to take me solo as the season is not really underway yet. I had my heart set on seeing orcas, and did we see orcas. He has a network of communication that allows him to access wildlife sightings and we spent several hours, longer than planned, watching and photographing orcas in Surge Narrows. He is very... More

What a day!! Simply cannot say enough great things about our tour. Garry, our fabulous guide, has an amazing ability to sniff out wildlife. We spent 2 amazing hours with over 100 Pacific White-sided dolphins. That was an experience we will never forget. We also saw Stellar sea lions and Harbour seals. And lots of Bald-Headed eagles. Garry has lived... More

We decided to book this tour in September 2012 based on the tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We started off early in the morning to see some Grizzly bears in Bute Inlet with 7 other guests. And already on the approx. 1 hour getting there we saw plenty of wildlife. Garry is a very knowledgeable and entertaining host and... More

We had the very great pleasure of joining Gary for a Grizzly viewing tour on the 15th of September 2012. Of course, we did not know what to expect. Well, we certainly were not disappointed. It was a beautiful early fall morning when we set out from Campbell River and Gary is a consummate, pro tour guide. We had a... More

My wife and I plus two friends from UK took a trip with Garry from Aboriginal Journeys whilst on a three week tour of Canada back in September 12. We had a great day seeing grizzlies, orcas, humpback, dolphins and bald eagles. Glad we took Aboriginal Journeys as locally based company with great local guide, Garry, who gave us lots... More

My boyfriend and I found cheap flights to Vancouver from Chicago last June, the early whale watching season. We were eager to find a guided tour that would allow us to not only see marine wildlife, but would educate us about some of the most spectacular creatures I have grown so fond of. We found Aboriginal Journeys through Trip Advisor,... More

My wife and I went on the Grizzly Bear trip with Garry fro Aboriginal Journeys. We traveled from the central coast of California, and were really excited for a chance to see wild bears in their natural habitat. Most bear expedition trips were not accepting reservations until mid-Sept, but Aboriginal Journeys was, which was great since our real purpose of... More

We rarely get a chance to take a vacation, so "meeting" Garry via Facebook and looking at what his tours offered sounded like the perfect day getaway! I was amazed first off at the landscape we were taken through on the way to Orford Bay up Bute Inlet. Stunning mountains and glaciers, and the water's color was just incredible. The... More

We had a few days to get outside of Vancouver in early October and once I found the Aboriginal Journeys, we planned our time on Vancouver Island around it. We booked a grizzly tour since it was late in the season for orcas. I balked at the price initially, but it looked like this was the going rate among competitors... More
