The Cabot tower seems to be one of the places to visit on a trip to Bristol. There are good views but it wouldn't be top of my list.

Its worth strolling around this park. Nice vistas and a huge variety of plants blossoming at this time of the year. The tower is easily accessible and on a clear day should be a must do for good pics.
You've never really experienced Bristol until you've ascended up the Cabot Tower and viewed the entire city. Free and open generally from dawn till dusk, you can see from the Cathedral to the Suspension Bridge.
There's no better location to take a panoramic shot of Bristol, than from one of the four uppermost viewing balconies in Cabot Tower.

Just fantastic. The view of Bristol and all surroundings. Brilliant. Greate building and park around it
If you're in the city Cabot tower is worth a visit, the views on a clear day are stunning and the gardens are beautiful.....as long as you don't mind an up hill hike and lots of steps!
A lovely view over over the city. Suggest doing this alongside a visit to SS Great Britain, though we picked a hazy day!
The tower offers a great view of Bristol and surrounding countryside. There are no restrictions, silly "elf&safety" notices or people to stop you. In fact it was deserted! Don't try it if you're not good a climbing, but if you are reasonably fit it's a real treat
The view from the Cabot Tower across Bristol is excellent and it is well worth a visit if you are fit enough to climb the hill and the steps in the tower. These were quite narrow and I was glad not to meet anyone coming the other way on the way up or down as passing would be difficult. Best...
