Brilliant little museum. My eight year old and sixteen month old even managed to take part in the hands on room upstairs. Great deal of information in the museum and i would allow an hour and a half or two to get your money's worth and also ensure enough time to read and look at the dig site and artefacts... More

Visited with my partner over a bank holiday. Started off well but as we walked around we realised that the experience is in desperate need of an update and some TLC. The displays are inaccessible, information cards are tired and the gift shop was unmanned and poorly stocked. Shame as it could be really good.

We paid around £15 for two adults and a child. It was very dated, not very well maintained, and a bit short. Their website makes the whole thing look modern and slick... it isn't. For a few quid it would have been OK but £15 was way to steep. I think my poor review is based on the 'sales pitch'... More

My wife and i enjoyed this experience but it's starting to look a little dated in places. It was interesting to see some of the artifacts and there are some interesting exhibits too, especially the open excavation showing different levels of history. Although we didn't have our kids with us it appeared to cate for them quite well with some... More

This was an interesting experience - was not sure about it to begin with but once you got inside and saw how deep the excavations have gone then you do appreciate it more.

We have just returned from a wonderful May bank holiday weekend break in Chester which was made even more special after visiting the Dewa Roman experience, ignore the negative comments and visit this wonderful place, we were the first and only visitors on a damp Saturday morning when they opened so if you can go early as we had the... Went first thing in the morning but were told that as they had so many school parties it would be best to return in the afternoon after 1.30 which we did. Not a large amount of things to see but it was interesting if you like looking at Roman walls etc as my husband does. Showed not only roman but... More
