Brilliant little museum. My eight year old and sixteen month old even managed to take part in the hands on room upstairs. Great deal of information in the museum and i would allow an hour and a half or two to get your money's worth and also ensure enough time to read and look at the dig site and artefacts...

Visited with my partner over a bank holiday. Started off well but as we walked around we realised that the experience is in desperate need of an update and some TLC. The displays are inaccessible, information cards are tired and the gift shop was unmanned and poorly stocked. Shame as it could be really good.
We paid around £15 for two adults and a child. It was very dated, not very well maintained, and a bit short.
Their website makes the whole thing look modern and slick... it isn't. For a few quid it would have been OK but £15 was way to steep. I think my poor review is based on the 'sales pitch'...

This was an interesting experience - was not sure about it to begin with but once you got inside and saw how deep the excavations have gone then you do appreciate it more.

it was a fun time with the family prices are on the ok side I think its good as they have lots of interaction things.
saw a bunch of kids marching through the town dressed as romans lead by a roman soldier. so cute they were having a ball. \
Went first thing in the morning but were told that as they had so many school parties it would be best to return in the afternoon after 1.30 which we did.
Not a large amount of things to see but it was interesting if you like looking at Roman walls etc as my husband does.
