Grosvenor Park is a Chester stalwart and must see. During my visit it was in full bloom with flowers, bird, trees, squirrels and ruins in their prime. It's a pretty, peaceful place.

There's a little train that runs around the park in the summer which is a much loved attraction for the children. Very reasonably priced as well.
The last time I visited this park it was looking a bit sad. This time is looked a bit sad because it is in the process of a refurbishment. This really is a beautiful park, very well kept and a pleasure to walk through. Nice place to relax.
We enjoyed our Sunday morning stroll through the park and along the River in to town bt the park iteself was a bit dll and lackig in colour. Perhaps the run of bad weather has prevented planting but the Grosvenor name does lead you to expect something a bit special.
Take your sandwiches and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The spring plantings although late with the cold spring were starting to come into force.
A beautiful park to walk around in, especially on a sunny day. On school holidays and weekends this can get very crowded. The flowers and grass are all very well maintained.

This park gets rammed with families and students in the summer, just as any public park does. However there is lots of space and it is free, also right next to the city centre so v convenient.
we intended on visiting the miniature railway and then maybe a cruise but we had to leave it and come home after over an hour at trying to find a car park and we was not alone, there was another two cars unrelated to us trying to find parking!! What a nightmare, greatly disappointed.
