It started as rough day out on the waves when I took a surfing lesson on16 April. Even though, I was the only one in the standard full-day class, which I originally booked, they did not treat me dismissively in any way. Rhys was a wonderful teacher and a great encourager, who really helped me work on my technique. He... More

We were in Newquay for my stag do last weekend. Max and the team put on a great session for us and would definitely recommend a visit. Great fun and nothing cures a hangover like it!

Max and the crew really looked after me when I popped over to Newquay for some personalised longboard coaching, so much so that he invited me back for some complementary coaching due to the less than perfect on shore conditions on the first day. The video/photo analysis was particularly useful in identifying the key areas I needed to focus on... More

My two daughters aged 13 and 11 had a brilliant private surf lesson with Errant over Easter. This is the second time we have used them and would definitely recommend them. Max and the other instructors are professional, friendly, patient and fun and managed to get my girls standing on their boards in no time. Perfect flat, sandy beach so... More

Having spontaneously decided to book a beginners surf trip with the Newquay Errant Surf School, it would have been understandable for me to be post-apprehensive of the decision to travel so far, alone and to dedicate a week to trying something I didn't know if I would enjoy. Now, with hindsight, I would actively do it all over again but... More

I found the service provided by Errant Surf School excellent in a fantastic setting. Firstly very professional with adequate attention to safety, warm ups and equipment. Then onto the surfing, as a beginner I found the time spent on familiarisation with both the board and waves to be particularly useful - we went out to waste height and did some... More

I found Errant as they were the only ones to reply on Twitter to my comments about surf schools in Newquay, so they were off to a good start. I'd never been surfing before and am not exactly fit enough to make the most of it, but the team were brilliant and patient with my attempts. Given it was a... More

I stayed at the Errant Surf School for a week - it was one of the best weeks of my life! It was so much fun to try and surf for the first time (it was very difficult also) - all the instructors were great and explained/showed patiently, and I felt like they wanted me to do good just as... More
