A trip back in history of streets and shops of yesterday. Many items recognisable from my early years but so well displayed. Billiant display of WW1 trenches with light and sound effects. Great display for train buffs. Well worth a visit, initially had doubts on entrance fee but so glad we did.... money well spent.

It is amazing there is so much to see over two floors of exhibits. Children love the game of finding the small bears hiding among the exhibits. and only round the corner from the Model Village in Babbacombe has a lovely café and shop also and very reasonable prices.

Not sure if it is our age ( 60,s ) but just cannot identify with some of the negative comments . We really enjoyed a well laid out attraction with bags of authenticity ,the range of stuff collected is incredable and their seemed enough to please all ages eg Thomas The Tank Engine for children etc . Mind you must... More

I read here people complaining about this attraction. But maybe is not for them in the first place. Here is 100 years history of English tradition and nostalgia. To be honest, the owner himself has got carried away by accumulating so much, and attempted to display as much as possible. So yes, some exhibits have become somewhat cluttered. National museums... We were camping in the area and saw this advertised. Took us a while to find but it was worth it. Although the price was quite expensive we still enjoyed it. And as others have mentioned, we came to the end of the museum thinking "where's the rest??" As it isn't very big. Still very fascinating. But price needs a... More

It cost us £9 each to get in, it was cramped and dark, there was 2 sets of school children in there and we couldn`t get to see a lot so it was a total waste of money. You could walk around this place in 10 minutes.

We loved the different shops from way back, brought back memories of my childhood. There were different floors that had different themes even a full size real stam engine.

If you like looking at past times this is the place. I have never seen so much stuff in one place. It was worth missing the sunshine for, BRILLIANT.

A great place - so unassuming form the front door but inside is like an alladin's cave. The children had lots of fun doing the Easter egg hunt while we spotted many things we remembered from our childhoods and grandparents homes. A really good value visit.

I’m sorry, have I missed something? Having read the reviews on this Museum we decided to visit Bygones after a trip to the Model Village, which is just around the corner. After paying approximately £13 entry fee for my daughter and I, we found the Museum to be dark, cramped and cluttered. There were a lot of visitors whilst we... More
