This was my second visit to the ROH to see La Donna del Lago, and it was another wonderful experience. The staging and acoustics were magnificent. Juan Diego Florez and Joyce DiDonato were amazing as Uberto and Elena. I only wished I had booked earlier to get seats closer to the stage. Will definitely go again despite the expensive ticket... Most recently we went to La Donna del Lago which featured some really great performances, making for a most enjoyable evening. Staging as always at the ROH was brilliant but of course never gets a bow, so I always feel that those involved in the design, creation and operation require an especial mention. Sadly, and uniquely for us, as the... More

As a former ballet costume designer, I was in high anticipation for our Royal Opera House backstage tour. A group of 18 of us gathered near the box office and set off on our 1 1/2 hour odyssey. You cannot be guaranteed access to any particular facet of the House because of the daily schedule changes, but you will get... More

Still to see a show here but everything that is on offer is always very good. I have been to a few London Fashion Week shows here and the building is very beautiful indeed.

Be sure to visit the second floor balcony for a nice view of the Coventry garden market building and the wardroom shop.

It was a very strong and enjoyable production all around - Antonio Papano's conducting, the singing and acting of the principles, as well as the lavish costumes. The Grand Inquisitor was less than the forceful and bone chillingly authoritative figure that he is supposed to be. The scenary was good, although somewhat falling short of the standard of the rest... More

with sublime playing from the orchestra under Pappano and the astonishing Lianna Haroutounian as Elizabeth de Valois. If you can, this cast merits the price of being closer / lower. Yorksfairy's comments about amphitheatre seats are correct, but legroom is limited. Also, bear in mind that there are no armrests between seats in this part of the house, so you... More

Visited as a birthday present for my wife, from the children. Excellent organisation and signposting. What a superb auditorium. Our seats were comfortable, with a great view, in circle left. The ballet la Bayadere was lovely, with some excellent dancing. Bit of a food policeman on the door to ensure nothing eaten in the seating area! A great experience.

Was OK but not the best performance of Phantom that I have seen. The performer playing the Phantom was weak. However, the other primary characters were very good.
