I had read the book and seen the film, therefore I had an idea of the storyline. However, I wash't at all sure how horse puppets would tug at the heartstrings as the book did. My goodness!!! Within 10 minutes I had forgotten they were not real horses and I was transported to the front line in France where these... More

The stage presence, especially the horses was amazing. Do yourself a favor and go! The night we went the entire audience gave a standing ovation.

I have never been to a show before and wasn't keen to go, I was amazed. It was wonderful. Bargain £14 seats too. Loved it!

Nothing to dislike, just take a handkerchief. Yes the horses are brilliant and you do tend to forget they are not real!

I had seen the film which was excellent. I was not interested in the live show as I thought it could not live up to the film's version. However some friends contacted me and stated they had spare tickets for the show. So under duress I went to the above show. I had to climb up three flights of steps... More

This show is well worth a look as you dont notice the puppeteers within seconds of the show starting, and as for the goose its just so funny.really did like the show but the first half is the best of the show,as the second half seems a bit slow and drawn out,but dont be put of,its still an amazing show.

This is a superb production with role of horses played by full size puppets that take on their own identity and personalities as play develops. Strong performances by National Theatre based cast. Have not left a theatre feeling as I did about this production since I first saw Les Miserables 25 years ago. Brilliant and thank you to all cast... More

This is the second time I have seen this show and it won't be the last! The actors are very skilled and the music magical. My favourite part was when Baby Joey transformed into a fully grown horse, what a spectacle. This show is not to be missed.

Have seen this 3 times and would go once a week if I had the finances to do so! Just an amazing piece of theatre: I'm still captivated by the horses. See it more than once if you can - you'll notice lots of fantastic details on your return visits. Take a supply of tissues!

Technically this show is brilliant - after 10 seconds you don't notice the actors/puppeteers, and you forget that the horses aren't real! It really is a fantastic spectacle. However I found the 2nd half of the show rather slow and a tad tedious. Perhaps my expectations had been set too high by friends and colleagues raving about the whole experience.
