Fantastically kept park with splashes of colour everywhere! Flowers are in abundance, with every inch of flower bed, filled to capacity! The fountain in the lake was very impressive and all credit to the local parks and gardens team, who make it look so beautiful!! Well worth a visit.

This is a large park just at the side of Shrewsbury Town centre, had not planed to go here but just thought it would be nice to have a walk round on our way up to St Chads Church. Glad we did, Plenty of swings and things if you have kids, but we found the bit called the Dingle the... More

I have never been to Shrewsbury before as my travels have never taken me this way when travelling down to Devon from the north West. However we avoided the M6 due to delays and went down the A49, The fact that it was a rare sunny warm day was also a factor. We did not intend to stop off at... More

As a Shrewsbury lass I could be biased but Shrewsbury has a lovely park right by the River Severn. Lots to do for children, including a play park, paddling pool and don't forget exploring the sunken garden 'The Dingle'. Wonderful space to walk, cycle and watch rowers from Shrewsbury Rowing club. Also the site of the Shrewsbury Flower Show in... More

A fantastic play park for very young, and older children. Loads of space for picnics, riding bikes and football. Lovely walks by the river. The highlight is the Dingle flower park.

Charming! Spring bulbs and flowering trees made this a real find, with a surprise around every corner. Delicate scents, the laughter of children, bathed in spring sunshine.(Clean toilets) What more could one ask?

I have loved this park since I was a small child and lived in shrewsbury. Now I have moved many miles from shrewsbury (130 to be exact!) I always make a point to return to the quarry everytime I visit. I love the river walks and the sheer scale of the park. The dingle is beautiful any time of year... More

The Quarry and Dingle are always a 'must do' when I visit Shrewsbury. Having been born in the town it is very close to my heart. The Dingle, a sunken garden area in the middle was the 'baby' of Percy Thrower, before, during and indeed after he began to appear as a television gardener, and it is still a delight... More

A well kept park with very pleasant surroundings. Plenty of room for an energetic springer spaniel to tire herself out.

I loved coming here as a kid, but flooding, lack of summer weather, rise in number of teenagers visiting and vandalism has resulted in it going downhill somewhat!
