We were fortunate enough to visit when it was not too busy and found the whole tour fascinating. The audio guide is very informative and you get to see a significant proportion of the vessel. Even the tea rooms surprised us by beig reasonably priced.

A great audio tour of a ship with a fascinating history. Definitely worth the hour and a half. A nice mixture of the stories of both the royals and the crew. Very easy to get to on bus 34 or 35. Convenient. It's a very odd location to get into once you're there though, as they seem to drag you... More

Visited with friends who were visiting from overseas. Self guided audio tour is excellent, and lets you go at your own pace around this truly unique attraction - interesting, and surprising easily worth the money (even if you rush around it, it would probably still take a good 90 mins). Great to see how the other half lived, and the... More

Loved visiting the yacht. Very interesting and the cafe was good too. Not as pricey as you would think. Allow a couple of hours though.

Really, really worthwhile and we loved it. Excellent audio tour as part of the ticket so you can go your own speed and listen and learn as you wish. Highly recommended. I hope we get the Royal Yacht Britannia back if the Scots choose independence!

This was a most enjoyable visit - very interesting and nostalgic. Appreciative that when the ship was built it would have been the top of its class. Liked the explanation on how steam powered her along! Tea and cream scones a must.Thoroughly recommended.

Our visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia and the self guided audio tour proved to be the best self guided tour we have ever experienced. There were 28 separate commentaries and we both actually listened to all of them in their entirety. The tour offered a great insight into life on the Royal Yacht and there were some lovely personal... More

The cost seemed a bit pricey, but the visit was worth every penny. (We went in May, in a more crowded month, we might not feel the same.) We had snacks in the tea room and they were excellent. Great glimpse into "leisure time Royals style."

Fantastic to hear that you found your visit to be good value for money. We have worked hard to ensure the tour route does flow well even at peak times, but would recommend visiting earlier in the morning, or later in the afternoon to those wishing to visit at a quieter time. Many thanks for taking the time to post... More
