Worth a visit. We walked into town from our hotel & were glad we did. The stained glass is beautiful. There was also a Boy's Choir performing the night we were there.
Designed by Pugin, the famous English architect, this is a huge church on the edge of the town centre. There are boards throughout the building pointing out the history and items of interest (which is rare in Irish cathedrals). Attended mass here - well worth it and a great place to see the modern church. Liked the inviting sense it gave to visitors. Beautiful setting and and as others have mentioned the stained glass windows are only stunning
I had the pleasure of singing here for a friend's wedding. it was an outstanding venue to sing in. Margaret the Sacristan was so helpful and accommodating. The acoustics were amazing. It's just a small church on the edge of town. Someone was playing the pipe organ when we visited. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth going inside for more than just a few minutes of peaceful reflection and prayer.
