We were fortunate to be staying in a pitch view room and arrived Friday evening in thick snow. The grounds staff worked through the night to make sure the game was on. In the morning more volunteers arrived to finish clearing the pitch.

This tour is recommended for any Bolton Wanderers fan. We went as a family for my son's birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to see behind the scene at the Wanderers and he was impressed with the changing rooms and dugout. Plenty to do at Middlebrook afterwards.
home of Bolton Wanderers this tour takes you around the stadium down into the dressing rooms and up to the various bar areas pointing out the features and telling you who the rooms are named after.
I also got to watch a football game. The retail park has many high street shops and a cinema. It's about 45 minutes to Cheshire Oaks (Outlet Mall) and about the same distance to Liverpool! In about a 20 minute drive, you can get to Manchester!
