Great place to visit. Some really interesting exhibitions to see. A good overview of military history from the WW1 to present. Entry is free too. I'd recommend the museum to everyone

This is a brilliant place to visit so if you are in the North don't miss this place. Also just over the bridge from the museum is another great venue in the North so you can have a great day out for next to nothing.

brilliant place to go it was very busy but all the staff were very helpful and knew there stuff great things to look at from every conflict weve been involved wth its well worth a vist and its free

I loved to see some old war memorabilia. It was free to enter, but donations requested, and that is good. I was a bit disappointed that as a lot of Salford folk went to war and many were Merchant Seamen, they did not rate a mention as such. Army did, but Merchant men still fight for recognition in my eyes.

Our second visit to this musuem and went to see two specific exhibitions..Iraq Photographs by Sean Smith and Saving Lives Frontline Medicine in a Century of Conflict. Both were fasinating and well worth a visit. Staff are friendly and very helpful and The Metro makes it so easy to get to.

Impressive building housing interesting, educational & sometimes very moving exhibits from all theatres of war from World War1 & 2 to the present conflict in Afghanistan. A great modern building housing a very well thought out museum. The views from the air shard are worth it on a clear day. The building materials themselves are wearing very well and the atmosphere inside is appropriate to the content. The changing exhibitions make regular visits worth the trip

The external shape of the building is unusual & interesting. Admission is free. The audio/visual presentations were dramatic & all-enveloping but that meant the noise level in the main hall was overpowering!
