This was the highlight of our 14 day trip in Europe. My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous experience on May 3rd with Marie. She met us at the metro and took us to a nearby market. She explained the importance of fresh food and helped us pick a menu of items that were in season. Once we had all... More

We had booked with Marie, but unfortunately she had to attend a funeral and Perrine was our instructor. What a wonderful experience. Perrine was very helpful with my 13 year old granddaughter and me. Her apartment and facilities were excellent. We had a marvelous time and would recommend A World in A Pan with Pperrine!

My wife and I have visited Paris many times and wanted to DO something new. We both enjoy food, cook at home and for friends that visit. We found a fantastic way to learn a lot more about cooking in a short time. All preparations were easy, Marie communication well by e-mail - meet at a given metro exit at... More

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 12 had a fabulous time with Marie and Marianne visiting a typical french market and cooking a delicious lunch which we shared together afterwards. It was a very informal day, lots of fun and I appreciated how our children were welcomed and made to feel part of the group.... More

Marie Helene and Marianne could not have been more charming and this is a wonderful peek into French life as well as a terrific meal. It was the highlight of our week stay in Paris and I would recommend it to cooks and eaters ( in other words everyone, not just foodies) as a way to learn about French life... More

Our experience with Marie and her assistant Marianne was absolutely delightful. Both are charming, knowledgeable and welcoming. The trip to the open air market, the butcher, and the fromagerie was fun and informative. Once back in Marie's beautiful and comfortable apartment we all participated in preparing a wonderful three course meal. Marie and Marianne taught us a lot, and we... More

My friend recommended "A World in A Pan" and I decided to try it during my latest trip to Europe. It was a truly unique experience that taught me about all of the amazing produce that French markets have to offer and how to combine into a delicious meal. I shared tasty food with other travelers who had the same... More

We met Marie near the market and started our education there. The other couple that was scheduled for the class with us was sick and had cancelled so it was just my husband and I. It was so cool walking through the market and watching the hustle and bustle, choosing our menu based on what was available and looked best.... More

My husband and I went to Paris for our 3 year wedding anniversary and a friend recommended that we do A World In A Pan because she knows we both love cooking and food shopping! The group had a great time deciding together on the menu (classes are thankfully only 6 people or less, so you feel like you have... More

We spent the morning in a Parisian market learning French attitudes toward buying the freshest vegetables, cheeses and seafood. After deciding on a menu and shopping for ingredients, we proceeded to our chef//guides lovely Paris apartment to prepare a lunch of cheese soufflés, scallops on a bed of leeks, chocolate mousse, creme carmel and tiny almond cookies. Shortly after returning... More
