We had a great tour with Ed. He is very knowledgeable and ties in the current sites with photos taken at the time. He straightened out a lot of misconceptions that the movies may have given and did it all with charming sense of humour. Very ozzie friendly. I totally recommend his tours.

I have my many degrees, but to really make sense of D-Day and the battle for Normandy you need to take a tour with a great guide like Ed. You will get the "real" story and not some of the misinformation regurgitated by some authors, or "Hollywood" getting little right. Drive down the beautiful lanes that were actually some soldier's... Went touring with Ed for one and a half days. Apart from the French weather, there's not a single thing I can compain about. Ed is a great guy, and a great tour guide, I learned a lot, and didn't have any questions go unanswered. If you want a good tour guide for Normandy, look no further, Ed is a... More

Our tour guide, Oliver was great. He is very knowledgable and personable. The tour was perfect, visiting Omaha Beach and the cemetary at Normandy along with other historic sites of Normandy. The 1/2 day tour was perfect, and the 2 hour train ride from Paris was great. There is no time or place to eat when you get to Bayeux and... More

We could have spent DAYS with Edward, but only got to spend a day with him. He was funny, interesting, and knowledgeable. He met us all at what our knowledge level of Normandy was. He was detailed enough for my 75 yr old father, addressed my 22 yr old daughter's questions, and kept it entertaining for all of us. My... More

We had a great day with Edward. The weather was robust but he made the whole day enjoyable. I have never paid for a guided tour before, but this was well worth the money. Our teenage boys are still talking about the experience and will remember the day for the rest of their lives. His technique of explaining the events... More

He was the ideal match for our eclectic group which included our 12-year-old son and my 70+ year old mother-in-law. Aside from being a subject matter expert and a fantastic, engaging guide, Ed was respectful of our time, our budget and the age/experience range of our group. We 100% recommend Ed and look forward to touring with him again sometime... More

We hired Ed for 4 days the week of Feb 25 to Mar 1 2013. 2 days in Normandy and two days around Albert for visits to the Somme and other WW1 battlefields. I have read the other reviews here and can't add a lot other than Ed's knowledge is endless and his enthusiasm and passion for what he does... More

Well, what can I say ... We are currently all whacked out from a days touring of the ww2 beaches with Ed and we are sat in our hotel room going over the days events discussing our favourite parts. I booked Edward up after stumbling across a YouTube link of him and was fortunate enough to have managed to squeeze... More

Edward was fantastic. He met us on New Years Eve day 2012. My wife and two boys (maggots), ages 4 and 7, were transported around the D-Day beaches and mesmerized by the detailed and anectdote-filled stories of that famous first day 70 plus years ago. My older son's "share" with his class on his return was filled with colorful background... More
