Not as good as the other museum in the area. But if you are there worth an hour. There are too many reproductions for my liking.

From the huge staircase of the Pergamon temple and frieze to the stunning cobalt blue Ishtar gate and everything else in this museum, I walked around with my eyes wide with amazement. The colossal size of the Gate of Meletus took me back to a trip I took to Ephysus. I would never have thought of glass making being as... More

My husband had been wanting to come to the Pergamon for awhile, honestly didn't see what the big deal was...until I got there. The line to get in was a bit long but moved quickly and the entrance fee included an English audio tour which was very well done. I was impressed with what they were able to recreate and... More

Cheaper than a trip to either Iraq or Jordan! How did they manage to move so much history from the Middle East to Berlin over 100 years ago?

I arrived at this museum about an hour before closing time, and was not disappointed. Ok, so it didn't match up to the British Museum in terms of wealth of artefacts, but I could still enjoy what they had. It's more a museum of buildings - the Pergamon temple, the Miletus gate and the Ishtar Gate, rather one of artefacts... More

A top notch museum for early Eastern art - Gates of Babylon, Temple of the Zeus Altar plus much more. Very enjoyable.

Pergamon museum (and portions of the Neues museum) are definite must-see attractions, even if you are not a museum fanatic. See other reviews for more specifics on these museums. When very busy, tickets for these two museums come with a specific "time slot" for entrance. Lines for tickets, if purchased at these respective museums can be very long. When you... More

Pergamon Museum Berlin can be an expensive city, so if you are on a budget, or on a time limit, this is the only museum you will ever need, but get here early, as the queues are unbelievable, a great stop for all you budding photographers, remember no flash. All my reviews are written from the heart, and how each... More

If you have time for just one museum, this is it! I visited the original site in Turkey a few decades ago, then mainly ruins and a hole in the ground. I am glad I now had the opportunity to see the real thing, the temple as it once stood on that site.
