We went a group of friends to drink same beers to same bars in this area. Is enjoyable and good to stay at night drinking and relaxing!!
Has seen better days. The area is not typically German anymore but is now filled with Middle Eastern and Oriental restaurants and Clubs. Were hard pressed to find an authentic German restaurant; after a bit of searching, asking taxi drivers and people in the street finally located a restaurant with adequate, not great, local fare.

We were on a stag do and this was quite popular with others doing the same. Plenty going on and lots of drinking options.
Sachsenhausen is an interesting heighourhood with a lot of bars and restaurant. I walked from the city, Zeil, down to Sachsenhausen on a sunny Saturday afternoon and it was just lovely to see how beautiful the residential area is. Went into one of the bars to watch some football games before getting dinner in one of the very authentic Frankfurt...

Lovely old part of Frankfurt, spreading its own charme... nice to have a walk and eat at one of These typical German restaurants and having an authentic Frankfurt apple wine. A bit too touristic though for my taste...
Simply my favourite neighbourhood in Frankfurt. Great collection of bars, restaurants and shops, and famous for its Apfelwein (apple wine). Absolutely worth a visit, especially at night when the bars are open and the streets packed.
As an American expat, this is home and no doubt the best place to live in Frankfurt. Lined at its edges by world-class museums, Sachsenhausen is an ecclectic neighborhood largely populated by young German professionals and a sprinkle of expats. It also has great restaurants, including famous apple wine houses, shops and historical buildings that survived much of the bombing...

On every other Saturday a flea market sets up in the space between Schaumainkai and the river. I do not recall the exact stretch, but it will be easy to see when it is there.
