Huge market. So many different booths, you're bound to see some unusual things. You don't have to buy anything, just walk around. I recommend the delicious fruit smoothies by the entrance off La Rambla. Several places to eat, but we chose the handmade pizza guy. Pick your toppings and he makes it right there. Delicious!

What a spectacle! If you are a fan of great raw materials for your kitchen, and want to really envy the Spanish for all the good stuff you will never be able to get at home - this is just about the perfect spot to be at. Fruit, vegetables, meat and fish out of this world - beautifully presented to... More

This is a great market. It's located right next to La Rambla and it's packed with people. One might think now that this is the ultimate tourist trap. But the truth is the complete opposite. Not only tourists walk this market....lots of locals can be found eating and shopping here too. And that's a good sign! Countless vegetables and meats... More

Of course the market is a great place to wander round , with great displays of fruit and veg and also fish and meat stalls. But for me the best attraction are the numerous food stalls serving a wide variety of tapas and more substantial dishes. It really is THE place to go for tapas. The choice is amazing and so much more... This food market is worth a visit. We tended to go later in the afternoon when it wasn't at it's busiest but still enough going on to enjoy the atmosphere. If you're a photographer then it's a dream. Stall holders don't mind you taking photos. The colours of the food displays are incredible. Fruit, veg., nuts, chocolate, hams, spices etc... More

La Boqueria was an overload of taste and vision! Each vendor offered an artistic array of fruit, veggies, meats, candies - anything and even some things I had never seen before! There are several places to get tapas and other delights. We had a lemon/sugar crepe and it was out of this world! The 'crepe maker' puts on quite a... More

La Boqueria is delicious experience that both foodies and non-foodies would enjoy. It is a packed food market where you can buy food for the house or go and eat your way around it. there are so many different food stalls - mostly focused on spanish food and snacks. on the edges of the market there are tapas bars and... I have been there several times and must say it is a place you MUST visit when in Barcelona. We ate at a restaurant at the back for lunch, it was one of the best meals on our whole trip. Great extensive menu, cheap prices on food and drinks, and the flavor was....well you can only imagine!

I would move here just to have access to this stunning market. Mountains of beaches, papaya, artichokes, mango, peaches, lettuces... Everything you can honestly imagine as far as fruit, vegetables, fresh sea food, fine meats, candies and chocolates, the works. It's like walking around inside a kaleidoscope. Another delicious world in there..!
