go to placa Espanya and walk toward the fountain, preferably in darkness. Walk in the avenue of the fair, the show of colour changing is marvellous !!!

As other reviewers have shared, get there early! We arrived about a half hour before the show started, and ended up across the street and behind a fence, envious of everyone closer. As that show ended and people started to walk away, we got closer, then realized we could get on the "right" side of the fence by walking a...

Good to be there when the sun sets and see the start of the fountains below the Palau Nacional and all the way down the Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina. On the bridge is a good view and the fountains are lovely but the music was a bit of a disappointment.
The magic fountains of Montjuic are truly amazing, one of my favourite things to do in Barcelona. First things first, keep a hold on your wallet as I had the misfortune of being pickpocketed just after the show had finished, but the fountains themselves are truly brilliant. We stayed for 3 shows and enjoyed each one as much as the...

on the evening of the 18-th of May, we went to see the Magic Fountain, when we arrived there, there was an exhibition for cars, so the place was closed and the fountain did not word. so ask always if there are any events at the Fira that day !
When they said our tour would be going to see fountains in Barcelona I thought, "yeah, a fountain...big deal." Well let me tell you, they ARE a big deal. Like the other reviews, I'd recommend you get there early(before dusk) and pick out a good spot where you can see everything. People sit all over the walls, in trees, and...

Shut! Check with your concierge first as you will trek all the way over there for no reason in the rain. What a disappointment.
Go early .. and plan to stay through several shows so you can watch it from the tippy top down to the bottom looking up. Easy to get to via Metro. Plan to hang with hundreds of people, but well worth it.
Imagine a warm summer night in Barcelona. Ten thousand people wait patiently as the incredible combination of music, lights and fountains begins. This is like a modern version of last night of the proms with modern music from Katy perry and Coldplay mixing with the iconic Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe. The whole choreography us stunning and with...

This was one of the sites we really wanted to see but fountain was not working on the Friday we went. There was not notice posted and many waited a long time before giving up. We were lucky and went to have dinner at the MNAC Oleum Restaurant and were told the fountain was down for another week.
