What's your interest? Ancient ruins? Gardens? Churches? Contemporary Art in an ancient setting? It's all here, really something for everyone. The ticket here is combined with the Colosseum, so hang onto it. A great deal for both at 12 Euros. If you have a Roma Pass you can use it to skip the line as long as it's one of... More

It was incredible to imagine what ancient Rome looked like. We bought the combo ticket for the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill online about a month before our trip. We avoided all lines and walked to the front and scanned our tickets. Beware of the tour guides at the Colosseum. One tried to tell me that I still had to... More

Be aware if you visit the Palatine Hill and the Forum that they are big and require a lot of time a good feet but well worth the effort. The funny thing that happened to me on the way to the Forum was to see a queue of men outside a loo. It would appear that urinals are in short... More

Unless you are an expert in Roman history and archeology a guide is a must for this site. The ruins are confusing and not well labeled. We started with an overall view of the area, went in the quick line to the coloseum for holders of the Roma Pass. After the colloseum we continued in the area of the Roman... More

Loved the history having seen numerous films featuring rome. We needed much longer than we had time for, but seeing the arches and senate house and the house of the vestal virgins is a start.

The history of the era was magnificent, but not much left standing. It's rather disheartening to see the ruins as today and not much is being done. Palatine Hill is in such a bad state. Forum is by far the best out of all 3.

You'll need them. There is a LOT of area to cover, and the stones can be slippery when wet. If you have children, it will be well worth it to buy one of the picture books sold at many of the tourist stands - the ones that show what the buildings and areas looked like back then. It'll really bring... More

When your going to the colosseum you might as well get the 12 euro ticket that includes the roman forum and paltine hill, its well worth it and in the long run you save yourself 3 euro by gettin it all in one go. The roman forum is amazing to see as think of the history and that it is... More

It took three days to realise that this is really the heart of rome. I would recommend to go on a guided tour, otherwise it is just rocks.

These ruins are beautiful and worth the time to look around. Lots of walking on uneven surfaces but amazing when you think about their history. Definitely worth the time, purchase the combo colosseum and forum ticket!!
