If you are LUCKY enough to be working with "Alex," then you will be guided by her suggestions & input, and NOT by dogmatic dialogue and didactic lectures. This is one terrific PROFESSIONAL who infuses her personality, her charm, her practical choices & knowledgable experiences into a drop-dead, killer "meat sauce, married to its preselected pasta"! Kudos to the Queen!!... More

Maribel's cooking tour of the US brought her to my home for a class with 13 of my friends. Each dish was amazing and was one of the tastiest meals I have had. It will be hard to go out for Italian in the North End of Boston after being spoiled with her cooking! We enjoyed six amazing dishes. Her... More

My friends gave me 5 classes with Maribel for my birthday present. Just finished two classes and they were fantastic! She is very relaxed and you really enjoy yourself while learning. The market tour is a must! You learn both there and in her kitchen how balsamic vinegar is aged and then get to taste the different kinds and years... More

I was impressed by Maribels knowledge in regards to the details of the aceto, the balsamico, the sweets, the pastas, vegetables as well as the cheeses. Where to go, what to buy reasonably in the market etc. I enjoyed the market tour with her a whole lot. I think it is a "must" to better understand what one gets before you... More

My wife and I spent a lovely half day with Maribel, firstly shopping for locally sourced produce in Bologna's historic central market area, and then returning to Maribel's apartment to cook and eat a delicious four course lunch together. We both had a wonderful time and even the weather was lovely....

Spending the day shopping in Bologna's markets and making pasta with Maribel Agulio of Taste of Italy is a fantastic way to experience the culture and flavors of Italy. I included a stop in Bologna in our week in Italy because it is known as the food center of Italy and thought it would be a great place to learn... More

Taking a pasta making class is a must-do for any food lover travelling in Italy, especially in Bologna. The egg-based tagliatelle and tortellini are at the heart of Bolognese culture (and oh so delicious!). I'm an American living in Bologna, and have been here just over one year. I took my Mom, who was visiting me in Bologna, to Taste... More

I was drawn to Bologna by the food. Like everyone else on the planet, I knew that the heart and soul of classic Italian cuisine was born in this city, and before I ever knew about Maribel and her cooking school, A Taste of Italy, I knew that I wanted to make it my own. Maribel has spent the better... More

This was wonderful. This included a lovely food tour around Bologna, incorporated into the final experience of cooking a delicious 3 course Italian meal in a home kitchen within a beautiful old traditional apartment block. Maribel was lovely, and I came from it feeling that i could probably manage to make my own pasta... after a few tries... Strongly recommend.

A highlight of a wonderful trip to Italy! Maribel met us and another couple in the historic part of Bologna and took us from shop to shop as she gathered the ingredients for the menu we chose for the day. As enjoyable as the cooking and eating part was, honestly, we could have spent hours with Maribel taking us around... More
