You have to see the gallery after the sunset, or at night. it is more beautiful with all the lights on.
very good place for photos and also you can find a lot of nationalities there buy some souvenirs like the small Milan crystals or plates or some necklaces. Some people selling pizza there but i don't recommend at all
I came to Milan to explore the fashion scene, and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II was certainly what one would expect. An overcrowded, overpriced tourist trap at best. The luxury stores there maintain a stock of outdated items, and if wanting to get a quick lunch or a drink amidst the atmosphere you better take your chances with the McDonalds there.... More
The first time you walk inside the Gallery it is a wonderful sight. The floor, the buildings, the ceiling it's all amazing. There is a Prada store on one of the main corners and it has old style wooden and glass cabinets and shelving, it's like a beautiful museum, worth a look inside. Just be careful, the price of drinks... More
I lived in Milano as a child/teenager and my first impressions walking thrue the Galleria is one of the most memorable memories I have and since I left certainly one of the highlights looking forwards to while visiting. You can not miss it, as it is between the famous Scala Theater and the Duomo (Dome of Milan) Consult the locals... More

Great to see this massive outdoor mall, but most of the stores are large franchises and chains, so don't expect to find small Italian boutiques here. Also prepare your wallet!
You should not miss this attraction. It is a beautifully built glass arcade with high end shops, bars and eating establishments. It is in the heart of the tourist area so it is great for people watching. There is a lot of history to the structure so a tour that includes the Galleria is a plus.
