We spend 2 hours in the cemetery looking round, it's interesting to see how different it is to a UK style cemetery. It was fascinating to see how different most of the monuments were, many of the tombs and graves were artworks in themselves. If you like sculptures and stylized tombs you’d like this.

I have been to the Monumental Cemetery twice now and if I get the chance to go again I will. It is absolutely beautiful with stunning sculptures and lovely gardens. Just wander around and soak it all up, though you will want to keep taking photos of everything.

Walking around feels a little intrusive - staring at the graves of strangers. There are some impressive monuments here. The Campari family has a Last Supper in bronze on their grave.

This has to be the place where you will be emotionally affected by looking at the statues. It's amazing how the sculptors translate the sadness and despair onto a stone as you can feel the emotions felt by the family. I love the quietness of this place. Beautiful cemetery, well worth a visit even if you're only in Milan for a short time. For me this was my second favourite site in Milan. It's a nice place to escape the crowds and the sheer variety is really quite amazing.

Beautiful peaceful, underrated, no one goes there, a bit hard to get to on the vaporetto, but worth it, if you have a bit of extra time.

Some of the tombs and statues on display are stunning. Very peaceful and calm. The main entrance to it is a sight to behold in itself.
