So close to the main tourist route but amid the real Milan this church allows an amazing spectacle. The apse seems to be deep but upon closer inspection it is an amazing piece of perspective artwork. We highly recommend a visit.

It was great to find such and beautiful and peaceful church off a very busy street in the centre of a busy city. The scale is human compared to other churches in Milan, particularly the duomo. It was a welcome break just to sit in the church and relax, considering all the thousands of people who have visited the church... More

This was very close to the Duomo, walking distance. Its hidden in the alley streets and quite plain on the outside but beautiful inside. It is a rather small church.

We went out of our way to visit and were glad we did. Beautiful work. Very peaceful and quiet. Do sit and enjoy the art/architectural work behind the altar, then go look at it up close.

My favorite of Milan's zillion churches, it is off a busy street in an alley (close to Peck's). The church makes use of trompe-l'œil, a stenciling technique that deceives the eye into seeing depth on a 2D surface. In fact the altar from the rear of the church looks many meters deeper than it is! A wondeful example of this... More

Artistically speaking, is a master piece. It represent the first time prospective was used in a Church. It was built in the old centre of Milan, not much space there! Entering, you have the perception. Of a very long church, with a lot of space behind the alter. Well, just get closer, and you'll find yourself at the end of... More

A short walk from Duomo, this is a mindboggling architectural masterpiece that will leave you in awe! It's a little hard to find but worth spending some time sitting inside to take in the optical illusion of the fourth arm of the church behind the main altar.

The church is located not far from Duomo square, if you turn your back to the Cathedral and follow via Torrino. The church looks ordinary from the outside - but do come inside! It seems that the church is huge, but it's only an illusion. When you come near the altar you see only little space behind it, not a... More

Church was closed but photographed its chancel and tower. Scale is small compared with Milanese architecture, which is welcomed.

Impressive arts, not busy, no need to pay and a very friendly staff ready to help. A good choice to get rid of the buzz from downtown and noisy Duomo's area.
