Great little place, so many good restaurants to choose but the food was very good and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficiently done without being pushy

A real highlight of Venice. Possibly the best collection of Tintoretto paintings anywhere in the world.
When we visited, the ground floor had been cleared for another exhibition but there were still a number of interesting paintings around the walls. However, it is the room upstairs that has to be seen to be believed. I think there are something like...

Wall to wall to ceiling Tintoretto on a grand scale. I am not really a fan of this kind of thing but it is jaw-dropping. And there is a huge crucifixion mural that moved me profoundly despite my being a secularist. That's the power of great art for you.
The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is very expensive (10 euro per person) for only three rooms to be seen. Venice is amazing, but this just may be the most wonderful spot in the city. Go straight to the second floor to see the most amazing room, filled with fabulous carvings and paintings. The ceiling alone is worth the price of admission!
Amazing collection of Tintoreto's work, 50 pieces. I love Venetian art in general the colors are so powerful, but in the case of Tintoreto the realism in his work makes even better. Do not miss this place please.
The main upstairs room is sensory overload - floor, carvings, paintings, statues: what to look at first?!
The glory that is Tintoretto's work housed in an historic building originally created for the sick. This is a must visit, whether you are an art lover or not.
This was so much more enjoyable than the bun-fight of the Sistene Chapel. Beautiful art (second floor) and beautiful building and a beautiful walk to get there. Not to be missed, even for people who aren't really into art.
The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is a beautiful display of art work, architecture and sculpture. The majority of the work is by the talented Tintoretto.
At the Scuola, ticket was approx 8-10 euro depending on your age. The audio guide is free and comes in a variety of languages. This was very useful, particularly if you are not an...
