From the train station, within walking distance is the Mini Metro, which whisk you up to the Old part of the city in minutes, and for little cost. It is all automated, even buying the tokens to use on the Metro is automated. Fun & efficient mode of transport.
this is reallycool. u can use it to move in the city center for free. perugia is located on a hill so this mean will for sure help u not to get too tired hanging around this city
Great engineering! This was an excellent way to get from the train/coach station to the old city, with little trams every 2 minutes. However, it was not very clear where it was in relation to the train station - a large sign with arrows would help!
Now I am not the kind of person who loves metros. I would put all my energies into depriving a town from having one and I possess a particular aversion to the ones in London and New York. Not so Perugia. This tiny metro was designed by a famous French engineer and consits of two driverless carriages at a time...

It is absolutely gem! it helps go around town...especially if you are slightly over 50...Perugia is 'up and down' town and minimetro helps a lot.
