In the 100-year-old warehouse on the Oude Rijn river in Woerden, the Reypenaer cheeses are matured in an entirely natural way. Over time, this process leads to the distinctive and complex taste with its exceptional aroma that characterises these artisan cheeses. In the Reypenaer Cheese Tasting Rooms in the centre of old Amsterdam, you can personally test and evaluate the flavour, the aroma and the qualities of the Reypenaer cheeses, all under the guidance of an expert cheese taster. Each cheese tasting session lasts approximately one hour, and caters for a maximum of 20 people per tasting. Tasting workshops take place every Wednesday to Sunday throughout the day from 11.00 to 17.00. The basic introductory workshop costs €7.50 per person. There is also an Advanced Tasting (with wine) at €10.00 per person and a Connoisseur Tasting (with wine and port) costing €12.50 per person. We also cater for private groups, corporate events and private parties for groups of up to 20 people. We went to Reypenaer as a large group on a hen weekend to do their cheese and wine tasting class. We were all very impressed with everything about it. The classroom was laid out very professionally, the staff were very friendly and knowledgable and the value for money was incredible. The various cheeses and wines went down very well too!... More

From entering through the shop upstairs, yes I tried some cheese before the tasting even started, everything is just right. A smallish group about 12 of us sampled 2 goat cheeses and 4 cow, the wine while inexpensive was good and generous and the staff knowledgeable. The real star of the show was the cheese as it should be.

What a delightful way to spend an hour! Tasted six cheeses, learned to rate them, and the wine pairings were wonderful. 18-20 people - delightful mix. I highly recommend it. Reserve ahead. It is a small place on a corner - don't miss it!

One of the best cheeses in the world! I recommend the tasting session wholeheartedly. It was bright and informative, great tasting - six cheeses (as much as you like), wine, port and a wedge of their award winning cheese as a gift. What's more you get 15% off your cheese purchase. If you are in Amsterdam do not miss it.

Great tasting we had with the proper wines/port. I know now much more about how cheeses are made and in the shop they have all the variety of cheeses.

Four of us booked this on our weekend trip to Amsterdam. Was a bit worried at the start as the set up was like a classroom, but the friendly host soon made everyone at home with his humour. Thought it was good value, there was no restriction to home much cheese you could have as you were in charge of... More
