My review is not a comment on the subject of the museum (i.e. Anne Frank's harrowing and inspiring life story) but of the museum and how it's set-up. The heart wrenching story of Anne Frank and her diary entries are brought to life as you walk through this house turned museum, but not as much as they could be. First,... More

This was extremely moving and you are allowed into every inch of the secret annex. Definitely skip the line and buy your tickets on the website in advance. It's easy to get to with public transportation and definitely worth the time. With a reserved time you walk right in.

A must really. To live in these circumstances would have been truly awful and we can now thank our lucky stars for the lives we live.

Quite an experience! Long lines to enter but worth the wait. The stairs are many & narrow. Difficult if you have any trouble with climbing stairs.

We thought we knew it all since we had read the book. But the experience of this somber , narrow place ,made us understand a little what Anne and her family had to go through.

A wonderfully, poignant exhibit. You can stay as long as you like to pay homage to the little angel who dwelt therein. The midday queue was quite small and went quick anyway. And they give you an umbrella if it's raining. I was very surprised how inexpensive it was, given today's prices. The place leaves quite an impression and should... More

A small but worthwhile "must do" stop when in Amsterdam. The lines can be painfully long, but it is possible to reserve an entry time slot in advance by purchasing a ticket on-line or making a time slot reservation if you have a Dutch Museumkaart. A moving experience, even better if you don't have to wait an hour or more... More

It was very moving and really liked how it told the story while moving from room to room. I couldn't imagine the stress and horror they went through. It really breaks your heart that any person would have to go through that.

I read and watched everything that was on display in this "museum". It was so personalized to Anne Frank that you just felt intrigued to read everything to get to know her and to get to know what it felt to be Jewish during WWII. Though the site says it closes at 9pm, but we went 10 min before 9pm... More

We visited Amsterdam during a Dutch holiday time, which would have probably added to the queues. We arrived at 09.30 and queued for 1 1/2 hours to get in. There is a coffee shop near where you queue so at least you can get refreshments while you wait. We were lucky, it was sunny but I can't imagine it being... More
