The museum gives one much information about Rene Magritte and the friends he had. There are many photographs of his group. Many of the paintings are very witty with their titles. I enjoyed the paintings where he incorporated painting the sky and clouds. He was a master of surrealism.

We were a tad disappointed by this museum, as almost none of the iconic Magrittes were on display - I guess it's a bit like the Picasso museums in Paris & Barcelona, so we should have known better! However if you want to get to know the painter then there is a mass of material around. The museum is oddly... More

Interesting arrangement with different floors representing different phases in Magritte's life. Much of the info on the displays is NOT in English. There's a (free) quite thick multi-lingual book of Magritte's diary entries, I found it by chance in the display adjacent to the washrooms...it gives another dimension to what you're seeing.

This museum has a very comprehensive collection of Magritte's works. I used the audio guide and spent two enjoyable hours there. The museum does not have a cafe and the cafe in the adjacent Museum of Fine Arts has a small overpriced selection and no cold drinks. To find a very good inexpensive nearby place for lunch, walk about five... More

Not my favorite artist, but since you're already there, why not? Interesting, well-done installation.

Got a 16-25 year old youth ticket at only €2 each ! But it was worth €0. The museum is magnificent and the exhibition was fascinating. I loved leaning about Magritte and seeing his work from a young age designing posters to his most famous paintings . The staff wee also very fondly to us British tourists.

The place is wonderful, and it holds different works of art including pop and comic drwaing pieces, a lot of art nouvou and historic artworks as well. Outside there is a cart with waffles, they are sooo good!

This offers a very good overview of Magritte, both through works and words. I learned a lot about the artist in addition to enjoying a broad spectrum of his work. Very enjoyable.
