A large site and an easy follow on after the Acropolis although many don't bother so its far less crowded. Highlights are the temple of Hephaestus and the museum. Great to just wander around, plenty of benches and shade. Lots of spring flowers out when we went which was beautiful.
March was a great time to visit. There were no crowds and you can sit and take in the beauty of this amazing site. The walk from the Acropolis to the Agora was beautiful. There are lots of things you don't want to miss hidden in the gardens so take your time.
The ancient Agora site was very interesting and worth seeing. It is a large site so most parts are not too crowded. Museum was good.
The Agora has been nicely reconstructed so it is worth a visit. This is where business was done in Athens so it was interesting to see. Also, it has some nice exhibits in it, which are worth looking into.
The good ting about this monument is that is within the city and is surrounded by the new city. U can have a nice lunch at the Plaka area and then u can have a small visit at Agora.....
Free for EU students (Win!) and great shelter from the heat. Lovely park with many things to see, we were lucky there weren't many people, nice place to chill. I would have liked to have spent more time here, but we were rushed to just snap a few photos since they closed the whole area at 3pm!
Another one of the !2 Euro 6 package. The building and its contents even blew my wife away and she isn't a history buff. Watch the entrance timings we were caught out
